Approximately 1.5 million dozen cage-free eggs have been recalled due to potential salmonella contamination. The affected eggs were supplied by Midwest Poultry Services and sold in Brookshire Grocery stores in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, Mississippi, as well as in Kroger stores in Texas and Louisiana, along with other small retail outlets. The recall was issued according to a report from the Food and Drug Administration.

The eggs from Midwest Poultry Services were available to consumers in Brookshire Grocery stores in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico and Mississippi and Kroger locations in Texas and Louisiana, as well as other small retail outlets, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
