A Ryanair RYA0.90%increase; up pointing triangle flight was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff in Greece after a window dislodged midflight on the Boeing BA-0.22%decrease; red down pointing triangle 737 aircraft, injuring a passenger seated next to the opening.

The plane had taken off from Thessaloniki Airport early Friday when, at an altitude of 16,000 feet, pilots abandoned the climb and turned back to land on the runway. The passenger survived and was met by emergency responders, a spokesperson for the airline said.
