A single Mega Millions ticket sold in Florida matched all six numbers Tuesday night to win an estimated $800 million jackpot.
The winning numbers in the July 28 drawing were 34, 48, 49, 59 and 70. The Mega Ball was 12.
The winner can choose the full estimated jackpot paid through an annuity over 30 years or a one-time cash option of approximately $344.2 million before taxes, according to Mega Millions.
The winning ticket was sold at a WAWA at 14510 SR 70 E. in Bradenton.
The prize is the third Mega Millions jackpot won this year and the 10th largest in the game’s history. The other 2026 jackpots were a $536 million prize won in Illinois on March 10 and a $60 million jackpot won in Ohio on March 17.
Florida has now won or shared six Mega Millions jackpots since joining the game in 2013. The state also holds the game’s record jackpot: a $1.602 billion prize won on Aug. 8, 2023.
Tuesday’s drawing produced 645,993 winning tickets at all prize levels in addition to the jackpot winner.
Two tickets matched all five white balls. A ticket sold in New York won $3 million with a 3X multiplier, while an Illinois ticket won $5 million with a 5X multiplier.
Fifteen tickets matched four white balls and the Mega Ball. That included two $20,000 winners and one $30,000 winner sold in Florida. Other third-tier prizes from Tuesday’s drawing ranged from $20,000 to $50,000.
The jackpot had grown during 38 consecutive drawings since the $60 million prize was won in Ohio in March. During that run, nearly 10.9 million winning tickets were sold, paying more than $273 million in non-jackpot prizes.
Those prizes included 18 second-tier wins worth between $2 million and $5 million and 263 third-tier prizes worth between $20,000 and $100,000.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 290,472,336. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 23.
Lottery players still have another chance to become an instant multimillionaire this week. The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $663 million, with a cash value of $290.4 million, for Wednesday night’s drawing.
The Powerball numbers will be drawn at 10:59 p.m. Eastern time at the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee and aired live on CBS12 News. No ticket matched all six numbers in Monday’s drawing.
The Mega Millions jackpot will reset to an estimated $50 million, with a cash option of $21.5 million, for the next drawing Friday, July 31.
Mega Millions tickets cost $5 and include a randomly assigned multiplier for non-jackpot prizes. Half of the proceeds from each ticket remains in the state where it was sold to support designated programs and retailer commissions. Drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. Eastern time.
