Summer is heating up, and our cravings for sweet, frozen treats are ever-growing as we look for ways to stay cool in the hot sun. Dairy Queen knows that summer is its moment to shine as more customers flock to the drive-thru for frozen Blizzards, icy slushes, fresh lemonades, and sweet dipped cones, which is why the chain continues to launch new treats—like the returning Nestlé Drumstick with Peanuts Blizzard, S'mores Blizzard, and Cotton Candy Blizzard, as well as the new Choco Frosted Donut Blizzard and Strawberry Angel Food Cake Blizzard.

And just when we thought our ice cream decisions were already tricky enough between the stacked summer menu and the many classic Blizzard flavors, DQ goes and launches four new menu items—including three new Blizzards.

DQ Debuts New Blizzard Cup Lineup and Patriotic Slush Float

Allrecipes / Dairy Queen

Between the FIFA World Cup taking place in the U.S. and America's 250th anniversary, there's no shortage of celebrations this summer. So, much like McDonald's, Burger King, and Krispy Kreme, DQ is going all out for its new menu launch. However, unlike some fast food chains, Dairy Queen isn't celebrating one event or the other. Rather, it's launching new items for both.

First, on June 29, you'll find the new "Blizzard Cup" lineup, a three-item menu inspired by international favorites. Dairy Queen is releasing a Strawberry Mango-flavored Mochi Blizzard, Biscoff Cookie Blizzard, and Mexican-style Hot Chocolate made with Abuelita Blizzard.

The Strawberry Mango-flavored Mochi Blizzard is made with mango-flavored mochi, a Japanese dessert with sweet rice flour wrapped around ice cream, and strawberry topping in DQ's soft serve. Its Biscoff Cookie Blizzard features real, crunchy Biscoff cookies blended with DQ's vanilla soft serve. Lastly, the Mexican-style Hot Chocolate made with Abuelita Blizzard has Abuelita Mexican Hot Chocolate Mix, choco chunks, fudge-covered marshmallows, and cocoa fudge mixed with DQ's soft serve.

Also, on June 29, but only for a very limited time, DQ is releasing a Stars & Stripes Misty Slush Float. This red, white, and blue Slush Float will be available just in time for America's 250th anniversary, from June 29 through July 5.

DQ's new drink is made with layers of red DQ Cherry Misty Slush, white soft serve, and blue raspberry Misty Slush, all topped with festive star-shaped sprinkles—similar to Rita's "Gelati" Italian ice and gelato treat. The Stars & Stripes Misty Slush Float will be available in a small size for just $2.50 at participating locations nationwide.

These treats won't be available for long, so we'd better find some time to hit Dairy Queen in between World Cup matches and our Fourth of July barbecues.
