Google parent Alphabet jumped 4.8% Monday, snapping a five-day losing streak. In recent weeks, shares erased the entirety of a double-digit gain from a 349 cup-base buy point. The stock remains below its 50-day moving average and will try to form a new base.
Rocket Lab soared almost 16% after the company agreed to acquire the satellite operator Iridium Communications ( IRDM) in a deal valuing Iridium at $8 billion. The move would significantly expand Rocket Lab's space operations, adding a 66-satellite network to a company that had previously specialized in launching rockets.
SpaceX stock surged 7.2% after the Nasdaq announced it will be added to the Nasdaq-100 index before the open on Tuesday, July 7. That will pave the way for passive investment flows from mutual funds and ETFs that track the big-cap tech index.
Finally, Tesla stock raced up 8.5%, bullishly regaining its 50-day line, but remaining below the 200-day. The automaker is set to report second-quarter deliveries later this week.

U.S.-Iran End Recent Attacks
The U.S. and Iran agreed to halt their recent attacks, according to multiple reports. The two sides plan to meet Tuesday in Qatar to discuss their differences over the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran launched some attacks on commercial ships starting Thursday, apparently for not using a Tehran-approved route though the strait. Iran claims it has full "responsibility" for Hormuz while the U.S. says the international waterway should be free and open.

This Week's Earnings Report: AeroVironment, Nike
This week's earnings reports include AeroVironment ( AVAV), Constellation Brands ( STZ), General Mills ( GIS) and Dow retailer Nike ( NKE).
AeroVironment reported late Monday, with the stock up more than 13% in extended trading. The drone maker closed Monday nearly 67% off its 52-week high.

Stock Market Today: June Jobs Report Looms
This holiday-shortened week — the market is closed Friday for the July 4 holiday — will likely revolve around Thursday's June jobs report. Economists expect steady 4.3% unemployment as payroll gains slow to 75,000 from 172,000 in May, according to economists polled by FactSet. Private-sector payrolls are seen rising 72,500, down from 120,000 the prior month.
On Wednesday, payroll processor ADP releases its monthly payroll estimate, followed by May construction spending and the Institute for Supply Management's manufacturing survey index for June.
The Conference Board's consumer confidence index, which includes closely watched measures of job availability, is out Tuesday morning.

Dow Jones Futures Today: Oil Prices, Treasury Yields
On Monday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.6%, closing above the 52,000 threshold for the first time on record. The S&P 500 moved up 1.2%. The Nasdaq composite advanced 2.1%. Oil prices advanced to roughly $70.50 a barrel. And the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield moved up to 4.37%, ending a four-day skid.
Ahead of Tuesday's opening bell, Dow Jones futures moved down 0.1%, as did S&P 500 futures, while the Nasdaq-100 futures declined 0.2% in overnight trade. Remember that overnight action in Dow Jones futures and elsewhere doesn't necessarily translate into actual trading in the next regular stock market session.
