As of Thursday, there are184 cyclosporiasis cases in 2026 in the state compared with 61 cases reported by the same time in 2025.
Interviews have been completed for 117 cases, and 45 individuals reported international travel, HHS says.
State health officials report these cases to the CDC once an interview is done.
HHS says that Iowans must have consistent symptoms and either a positive laboratory result or an epidemiological link to a confirmed case.
