Cyclospora outbreak now linked to Pennsylvania, CDC says

Pennsylvania has now officially been linked to an outbreak of Cyclospora, according to the CDC.
That means there are now nine states with related cases of the illness tied to the microscopic parasite.

The health departments across those states are reporting a combined total of more than 12,000 cases of cyclosporiasis, the majority of which are in Michigan.
Federal and state health leaders are still investigating but believe iceberg lettuce from Central Mexico is the suspected source.
Taylor Farms voluntarily recalled its shredded lettuce that was shipped to 27 states.
