Pizza Hut once dominated American pizza.
Now its U.S. and international operations outside of China are being sold for $1.5 billion by parent company Yum! Brands YUM-1.35%decrease; down pointing triangle to private-equity firm LongRange Capital. Its mainland Chinese operations are being sold to its spinoff, Yum China Holdings YUMC-0.81%decrease; down pointing triangle, for $1.2 billion.
