SpaceX shares bounced back after temporarily erasing one-fifth of their value from the record setting debut of Elon Musk’s rocket, satellite and artificial intelligence company, as investors shunned riskier technology firms.

The stock reversed an earlier slump which had put its market value more than $1.2 trillion below its June 16 peak in one of the largest market capitalization wipeouts in history. Shares ended Tuesday at $116.49 each, down nearly 14% from the initial public offering price.
