With one of the largest Mega Millions drawings in recent memory set for Tuesday night, lottery players nationwide are looking for an edge. The jackpot for the July 28 drawing is worth an estimated $800 million, making it the 10th largest Mega Millions prize of all time if a player were to win.

But finding a way to match all five white numbers and the red Mega Ball, is not nearly as simply as it sounds. While some players stick to family birthdates or other numbers that have special meaning, others may choose to stick with hard data.
