The latest on the WWE merger trial.
Jennifer Kay of Bloomberg has a story up which notes that the WWE merger trial has been taken off the calendar, as it was scheduled to start on June 8th. Greg Varallo of Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann LLP is the attorney for the shareholders.
He said late Friday that the four-day trial was no longer on the Delaware Chancery Court’s calendar. He said the reason for the removal was not immediately made available, and Varallo did not elaborate on that.
A pre-trial briefing from the plaintiffs was released on June 5th. They are seeking nine figures in damages and believe that WWE had been undervalued in the 2023 merger to form TKO Group Holdings.
Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, TKO CEO Ari Emanuel, WWE President Nick Khan, and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque are all scheduled to testify. Vice Chancellor J. Travis Laster is set to preside over the trial.
As more information becomes available, we’ll update you here on Fightful.
